peacehill farm

Brief history

Peacehill has been in the Forster family since 1926. Tenanted through the first two generations, Peacehill was bought in 1990. Newton Farm followed shortly after in 1992 and then Balmullo and Hayston Farms in 2004.

About us

The main enterprises found at Peacehill are a mix of both crops and animals.

The crop side of the farm comprises both potatoes and vegetables with cereals making up the remainder of the rotation. Our vegetables are grown and marketed through East of Scotland Growers, a farmer owned co-operative, which supplies all of the major multiples.

A wide variety of potatoes are grown and all are aimed at the pre-pack market with cold storage used to maintain quality throughout the year.

Our animal enterprises consist of cattle and pigs.

We have a very loyal team of staff here at Peacehill, who all work exceptionally hard. We also employ foreign students during the planting and harvesting of the vegetables and potatoes, and they are a valuable part of what we do.
